Yale President Peter Salovey to visit YAANW

The Yale Alumni Association of the Northwest invites you to join us for a rare reception and talk with Peter Salovey, the 23rd president of Yale. During his visit, one of only three of its kind this year, President Salovey will give an update on the University. The event takes place at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, a world-class institution run by Yale alumna Katie Luber '83, its Nivin and Duncan MacMillan Director and President.
The evening includes catered heavy hors d'oeuvres, soft drinks and a cash bar, access to exhibits in two galleries at a time when MIA is Art in Bloom.

Pricing is $40 per person ($25 for BOLD alums from 2012-2022). YAANW Announces Two Day of Service Sites for May 13, 2023
Wingspan Life Resources-Roseville
Assist with yard work for home adults with developmental disabilities. Tasks include raking the lawn, picking up sticks, trimming growth and sweeping the deck/patio.Children able to do yard work are welcome. Adult supervision requested.
Wingspan Life Resources is a non profit organization that offers residential care in group homes and in-home programs to adults with developmental disabilities.

Cedar Lake Park Cleanup- Minneapolis
Please join us for an outdoor morning of weeding, cleaning buckthorn and limiting invasive plant species. We gather at 9am and end by 11:30am at the corner of Burnham Road and Burnham Blvd on Cedar Lake. Please bring work gloves and dress for weather. If there is heavy rain or storm, we will not meet.

YAANW supports student research or projects with a regional connection through the Malcolm McDonald Fellowship. Two grants of up to $2500 are awarded each year. Currently seeking applications.
